TechCadence ("we", "us", "our") operates techcadence.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

We collect minimal information necessary to operate the service:

Email address — provided voluntarily when you subscribe to our weekly digest or join the premium waitlist.
Feedback submissions — the text you submit through the feedback form, along with the type of feedback (suggestion, bug report, or company request).
Usage data — standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These are processed by Cloudflare and are not stored long-term by us.

How We Use Your Information

Email subscriptions — to send you the weekly tech event digest on Sundays and occasional service updates.
Feedback — to improve the product based on your suggestions.
Analytics — to understand usage patterns and improve the service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Cloudflare Workers KV, a globally distributed key-value store. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and data storage.
Resend — email delivery for digest subscriptions.
Finnhub, Financial Modeling Prep, SEC EDGAR — financial data APIs for event information. No personal data is shared with these services.

Cookies

TechCadence does not set any first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set essential security cookies as part of its CDN and DDoS protection services.

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to save your preferences, such as starred companies and dismissed banners. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Unsubscribe — every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by visiting techcadence.app and using the unsubscribe option.
Request deletion — contact us to request deletion of your email address and any associated data.
Access your data — contact us to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.

Data Retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. Upon unsubscribing, your email is removed from our subscriber list. Feedback submissions are retained indefinitely to help us improve the product.

Children's Privacy

TechCadence is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
